Tilton-Northfield United Methodist Church becomes a Covenant Church
On Sunday October 19, Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity board member
Kent Warner presented the Church Covenant with LRHFH to the
Tilton-Northfield United Methodist Church. Receiving it is Steve
Thurston. Church covenants are signed by area churches to show their
support for the activities of LRHFH. This support is in the form of
donated hours of help, money, and prayers for Habitat families.
LRHFH has built 27 houses in the lakes region in the past 26 years, the most recent two in Moultonboro. LRHFH is currently receiving applications for houses. Applicants must past a formal screening process to assure them and LRHFH that they are going to be able to successfully own a first home. LRHFH gives continuing support to these families. Interested persons can call 279-4820 or email info@lrhabitat.org with any questions
By entering into a covenant relationship with Habitat, a church agrees to support our affiliate with prayer as well as financial and volunteer resources. It is a great way to get involved with Habitat along with your friends and fellow parishioners. Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity is thrilled to enjoy a covenant relationship with eight area churches:
Center Harbor Congregational Church, UCC
First Congregational Church of Meredith, UCC
Congregational Church of Franklin, UCC
Laconia Congregational Church, UCC
Moultonborough United Methodist Church
Sanbornton Congregational Church, UCC
Tilton-Northfield United Methodist Church
Trinity Episcopal Church of Meredith
Trinity Episcopal Church of Tilton
United Methodist Church of Gilford
The new partner home on Gilford Ave is being completed thanks to your help!
Do you see your church here? If so, perhaps you can join the next workday your church sponsors, or attend an event held by the church to support Habitat, maybe you would even like to bring a friend Who does not know much about Habitat. If you do not see your church on this list, maybe you would like to see that cahnge. We are excited to report that five additional churches are working towards making this important commitment. It means so much to have the support of congregations in the region in which we are doing our work. Please call LRHFH, if you think your church might want to take the first steps toward helping Lakes Region Habitat in such a meaningful way.....we look forward to seeing all of you!
